The Ohlegschlagers are not a blood line to me. However, Philip Adam Ohlegschlager adopted my father and was the only grandfather I knew from my father's family. To me the Ohlegschlagers were my aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jacob WATLE and Apollonia OLEGSCHLAGER, both of Multnomah Co, married 3 Oct 1878 (license 28 Sept) at the Church of the Immaculate Conception by J F Fierens Catholic Paster; witnesses, William A. Duber and Margaret Olegschlager.
NOTES: Apollonia is the daughter of the immigrants Jacob Olegschlager and Elizabeth Gould Ohlegschlager. Margaret was a younger sister of Apollonia. Later records spell Jacob's surname as Wetle or Wettle. Immigration index spells Apollonia. (One p and 2 l's)
