Fred Wetle Rites Friday - Fred Wetle, a longtime resident of The Dalles, died in a nursing home here on Wednesday.
He was born in Wasco County July 9, 1884.
Mr. Wetle was a farmer in the Chenowith district for many years and was a charter member of the Chenowith Grange. He received his 50 year membership pin in 1971.
His wife, Nettie, died in 1967. Survivors are two brothers, John in Bend and Chris in Lebanon; two nieces and three nephews including Ernest Kuck, The Dalles, a nephew of Nettie Wetle.
Funeral services will be at Spencer & Libby Funeral Home on Friday at 2:30 p.m. Entombment will be at the IOOF Memorial Mausoleum.

Ernest Kuck was the grandson of my 3rd great grandfather John Kuck. I've always been curious about his father Henry Lincoln Kuck who moved out to The Dalles and became a noted saddle maker among other things.
